Master the art of detecting lies, corruption, and bluffs in this intricate card-based puzzle system
Dozens of unique roles including Villagers, Demons, Minions, and Outcasts - each with special abilities and information.
Complex interactions between characters create deep logical puzzles that challenge your deduction skills.
If you see duplicate roles, someone is lying! Usually only 1 character of each role exists. Multiple same roles often means a Doppelganger is copying someone, or an evil character is bluffing as an existing role.
"Adjacent" means characters directly next to each other in the card layout. Some abilities like Knitter check if evil characters are adjacent (side by side) to each other.
This could be a bug or the character might be evil/corrupted in ways not immediately obvious. Some interactions like Puppeteer effects can cause unexpected behavior. Report unusual cases!
Bombardiers explode when executed, but only if they're good. Evil characters pretending to be Bombardiers won't explode when killed, which helps identify them - but the risk makes them terrifying to execute!
Minions can disguise as characters already in play, while Demons cannot. Minions can fake being Bombardiers or Plague Doctors, but Demons can only pretend to be villagers not currently in the game.
Characters like Medium and Gemcrafter normally won't point to themselves unless there's no other valid option. If they're pointing to themselves, they're most likely lying or evil.
Absolutely! While inspired by BotC, Demon Bluff is designed as a standalone experience. You don't need any prior knowledge of social deduction games to enjoy it.
Start by focusing on information that multiple characters confirm. Look for contradictions between character claims. Remember that corrupted and evil characters always lie, so their false info can actually help you!
Demon Bluff combines the tension of social deduction games with the replayability of single-player roguelike card games. Your goal is to gather information from around the village to find and slay all Evil characters.
Villagers will help you track them down with information and useful abilities. But be careful - Demons and Minions will try to mislead you with their bluffs and lies.
Demon Bluff is highly inspired by social-deduction games, especially Blood on the Clocktower. The game transforms the multiplayer social experience into an engaging single-player puzzle format for the browser.
